Sacha Khan completed his undergraduate studies in Economics at University College London (UCL) in 1994, his interest in behavioural economics, game theory and western philosophy laid the foundation of a lifelong passion for psychology.
Professional training in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy at a leading national college achieving formal registration with United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). A Masters degree in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from Goldsmiths, University of London broadened his range of clinical applications.
In 2002 Sacha joined the prestigious Priory Hospital Roehampton as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist, where he was involved in the comprehensive treatment of mental health issues, including anxiety and stress disorders, depression, somatoform disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and schizophrenia. As an avid long-standing practitioner and teacher of Mindfulness he established a group programme within the hospital which was consistently well attended.
Sacha has also developed a series of methods for enhancing performance, having worked with professional athletes and artistic performers seeking to expand their potential. He is an adept practitioner of Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy, which is recognized for its significant efficacy in reducing the recurrence of depressive episodes. His current practice incorporates a focus on mindfulness-based, trauma informed therapy and numerous other approaches, prioritising the therapeutic relationship, working collaboratively with people and tailoring the approach for individual needs.
Additionally, Sacha has a keen interest in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), appreciating its effectiveness in treating trauma-related conditions and in facilitating the processing of adverse memories to markedly improve individual potential.
