Introduction

Modern, evidence-based psychotherapy for adults.

Sacha Khan is a senior CBT and EMDR psychotherapist with nearly thirty years of clinical practice, working with adults across anxiety, trauma, depression, performance, stress, and life transitions.

Each person is met as an individual. The work is bespoke, collaborative and outcome-driven, beyond any single diagnosis.

Approach

How I work.

At the centre is modern, evidence-based CBT, with mindfulness where it helps. The work is never box-ticking. I treat the whole person, not a diagnosis - drawing on a deeper toolkit of EMDR, clinical hypnotherapy, schema therapy, ACT and CFT, with elements of IFS, person-centred and psychodynamic practice, when the work calls for it. What ties the methods together is an interest in human flourishing - not only managing difficulty, but living well.

Therapy here is genuinely collaborative - we explore the solutions together, and I am fully in the work with you. The aim is for you to feel understood, not analysed.

On EMDR

EMDR is a strongly evidence-based, largely non-verbal way of processing trauma when it becomes stuck.

Who this works best for

Therapy as a partnership.

Therapy works best when it is collaborative. This is not a passive process, and it asks for your involvement - in our sessions, and in the reflection and practice that happens between them. You do not need to have things worked out before you begin. You do need to be willing to engage with the work.

For those ready to take part, it can be a powerful process - challenging at times, but never overwhelming.

Areas of focus

What I help with.

Anxiety & stress
Persistent worry, overwhelm, and panic - the physical toll of a mind that won't switch off.
Depression
Low mood, lost motivation, and the sense that things have quietly flattened.
OCD
Intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and the patterns that keep them in place.
Trauma & PTSD
Processing experiences the mind has not yet been able to put to rest.
Somatoform & psychosomatic
Physical symptoms with their roots in stress and emotion.
Relationship difficulties
The patterns in how we connect, withdraw, and repair.
Mindfulness & meditation
A steadier, more present relationship with your own mind.
Sports & performance
Focused work with performers, athletes, and people who need to excel under pressure.
